Accommodation details
Situated only 1/2 a mile from the village centre of Betws Y Coed, this beautifully appointed stone built cottage has a wealth of personal character and cosy ambience enjoying wonderful views down the valley towards the village.
From your front door you can either stroll downstream the river Llugwy to the village or walk up stream to the famous swallow falls, or you can venture into the forest on bike or foot following the trails and streams and eventually breaking out into the higher slopes of the Snowdonia range.
The Cottage
The cottage sleeps four in one double and one twin bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, washbasin and WC.
Outside at the front of the property there is a large front terraced garden with a cosy eating area with delightful views down the valley and at the back of the cottage there is an additional chill out area to catch those late afternoon rays of sun.
Living room
The sitting room has a large stone inglenook fireplace housing a cast iron log burner on a slate hearth, for those cold snowy nights. There is a television, and DVD player with a selection of movies and a CD/radio hi-fi.
Kitchen
The large traditional kitchen/diner, which we feel is the hub of the house has a Rayburn for the adventurous cooks amongst you, an electric cooker and hob, washing machine, fridge freezer and microwave.
Please note our cottage is a non smoking environment
The Local Area
Snowdonia is unquestionably one of Britain’s most beautiful National Parks. From stunning wild coast lines to the second highest range of mountains in Britain this area boasts a combination of outstanding natural beauty and a diverse environment for all types of activities to help make this the perfect holiday.
The choice is yours; Hill walking which can be direct from the cottage, climbing, sailing, pony trekking, Mt biking, fishing, four good golf courses, a relaxed barbeque on the banks one of the meandering rivers or chill out on one of the endless beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula and for those occasional rainy days there is an endless list of spectacular attractions in and around the area.
Betws Y Coed offers a good choice of eating and watering holes from traditional pub grub to restaurant cuisine or you could choose to stay at the cottage and relax on the terrace enjoying a BBQ and glass of wine in the summer months or a cosy supper in the warm kitchen in the winters.
