Set in a remote location in the Hafod Fawr Forest, on the slopes of the Cynfal Valley, this attractive 18th Century, detached cottage is just two miles from the old slate quarrying village of Llan Ffestiniog and is conveniently close to the centre of Snowdonia National Park. Combining original features with modern facilities, the cottage boasts exposed beams and a stone fireplace, with log-burning stove. A number of other activities are within easy driving distance and the local towns provide an excellent selection of amenities.

Note: This property is situated 1 mile from the main road, up a steep forestry commission track, which can be dangerous in snow and icy conditions.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

,The location and standard of this property are both excellent. To find such a well presented cottage in a fairly remote location is rare. And to find one which also warmly welcomes dogs is even rarer. The owners of this cottage are very keen for those staying at their cottage to enjoy a relaxed and worry free break. It's location, welcome to dogs and it's very friendly owners make this cottage a gem and one which we hope the owners will continue to share with others.

,We enjoyed the peace and quiet,fabulous scenery and friendly helpful people. We were rounding up the baby lambs from the rear garden of the cottage only to find them back the next morning calling for their mums. Why go abroad when you can visit brilliant, not crowded beaches.
