Details: Yr Helfa is a traditional bunkhouse situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park which will make a perfect base for your holiday in North Wales.

Located at the foot of Snowdon you are close to the amenities of Llanberis yet still very much in a mountain environment.

Magnificent views and and the peaceful setting will make sure that you appreciate the long evenings as as much as the action packed days!

The former farmhouse has been carefully restored to its former state and will sleep up to 18 people in comfort.

Facilities
Yr Helfa offers peacefull and comfortable accommodation which will be a highlight of your stay. Briefly the accommodation offers

Due to the bunkhouse being located location on a working welsh mountain sheep farm, consideration should be given towards boundaries and the animals.

Location
Yr Helfa is located in a beautiful setting on the Llanberis side of Snowdon. Nestled directly at the foot of Moel Gynghorion the panoramic view reaches from the Llanberis path around to Bwlch Masgwn (Telegraph Pass). A number of routes up Snowdon are accessible from here and Llanberis is 20 minute walk.

Access
Start with your back to the Snowdon Railway Station. Turn right and then take the first right on to Victoria Terrace. Continue up past the cattle grid at the end of Victoria Terrace and follow this steeply up past the first cafe until you go through a gated farmyard. Continue up the hill, passing the turn off for the Llanberis path until you arrive at the bridge which the Snowdon railway passes over. The entrance to the parking is about a 150 metres on from this on the right. Don't worry a sign will tell you where to park.

Please note that there is about a ½ mile walk from the car park to yr Helfa. Although the track is manageable by 4x4 vehicles we do not recommend that you try this. One of the most endearing parts of your stay at Yr Helfa is the feeling of isolation and the path is very easy to manage. If you have anything special you need transporting please let us know before hand and, if it can fit on a quad bike, then we are happy to give you a helping hand...

Note: Due to our location in a sheep farming area, we regret that pets are not accepted.

Rates
Yr Helfa is available for weekly, midweek and weekend bookings.

Whole Bunkhouse - £150 per night, 7 nights £1,000

Shared occupancy - Smaller groups £12 per person per night, each room sleeps six

Hot water, electricity and gas are all inclusive in the price. The central-heating will be regulated as necessary by us.

A non-returnable deposit of 30% must be paid when the signed booking form is sent and the balance must be settled 1 month before arrival.

A booking will be confirmed once the signed booking form and cheque is received and a receipt will be sent acknowledging payment.

Bookings made less than one month before arrival must provide full payment on booking the bunkhouse. Once fees are paid they are non-refundable.
